I had a 89 Plymouth Acclaim and had the same problem as the caller. Thought it was the right wheel bearing too and after having it replaced, still no luck. Found it was the right upper motor mount after a bit of frustration. Basically I got the care moving, shut off the engine and turned left. No noise. Turns out the mount was broken and when you turn left, the engine leaned to the right and the pulley was hitting the side.
