i have a 1988 dodge d150 that takes 3 to 5 second to start after turning the key til it start up it has a new battery ,it burns
a little oil 180k change plugs about 30k
ago is it time for new plugs could that be cause of the hard starting motor 3.9 with
5 speed trans just started doing this month

How about the fuel pressure? Have you changed the fuel fllter(s) recently?
