what gears do I put a 1987 dodge raider manual trant. 4x4 in to flat tow it has a transfer case
If you have the owners manual that information should be in it . Even if this thing could be flat towed you would not have it in gear . Just neutral. But very few 4 wheel drive vehicles can be flat towed . Call a local RV dealer as they might have a list to check for you .
@Nevada_545 and @Mustangman Any chance either of you have the correct answer for this person ?
If this is a manual transmission truck, just put the transmission into neutral and leave the transfer case in 2WD to flat tow it.
If it is a automatic, put your transfer case in neutral…if that is possible. If the transfer case has no neutral, you will need to disconnect the driveshaft from the rear axle, tie it up so it won’t fall off, and make sure the transfer case is in 2WD.
