I have recently purhased a 1964 Chevy Impala 4 door sedan with a 5.4l/327. The exhaust system is shot from the manifold back. What should I do about replacing the entire exhaust system?
If you are trying to keep it OEM and use it as a show car, that is one thing. If you are looking for a hot rod look, then that would be a different plan and if it is going to be a driver you would have yet a third plan.
If you don’t plan on putting on headers, then any muffler shop can fabricate new pipes and attach a universal muffler(s). You will probably want to go with a dual exhaust system, especially if you have a 4 bbl.
