05 Malibu a/c out--sulfur smell--connected?

05 Chevy Malibu a/c intermittently and randomly shutting off, but seemed to be switch problem. Today the a/c button doesn’t start the a/c and we’re noticing a sulfur smell under the hood. Help with either of these would be appreciated.
