Hello Dave. Here is the photo of the rav4 with the recent rock chip.
As you can see, the paint is chipped.
If I were in your shoes, I would go to the dealer and get some touch up paint for it, then go to a real detail shop (not an automatic car wash that vacuums it out and cleans the window) that hand washes and will buff the paint out type place and ask them if they can touch it up and wax and buff (or whatever) the vehicle…
A body shop might do it also…
Others may have better ideas than me about this…
But from my chair with my bad eyes, I don’t think it needs a total panel repaint…
