Engine died as a result of oil leak. Is this car worth fixing?
Absolutely not!
That’s a pretty durable car, but apparently neglected. An oil leak doesn’t ruin an engine unless allowed to go on for a long time.
These cars tend to burn oil. Mine consumes a quart every 500 miles. It’s easy to forget to check it.
Other than that, I am waiting for something major to break so I can get rid of it. I may be waiting a long time.
If you ignored the leak and did not check the oil, you could have run the oil so low that there was none to lubricate the engine.
If that is the case, this vehicle is junk as the bearings have already been damaged beyond any simple fix.!!!
