Won't turn over after installing new neutral safety switch

I installed a new neutral safety switch in my 78 Camaro. And after I did I turned the key and it cranked fine. I turned it off and I came back and tried to turn it over again and it didn’t even click. My lights and AC turned on fine. My volts meter turns to it’s normal position. What could be causing my car to not turn over? I need major help. Thank you…

Did you align the switch?

Yes I aligned it. It worked fine after I did. I went inside to wash my hands came back turned the key again and nothing. Not a click.

Did you try shifting into neutral and then try to start it?

Why did you replace it the first time? Did you run a continuity test on the switch?
