She can go to wal-mart and get clear shelving contact paper and put that on the car first, then affix the glass to that. I work on high end car (i.e. Lamborghini’s) and we put that on the car before we start any work to protect the paint. It works great and doesn’t leave a residue. Not sure of the long term affects, but will be better than gluing straight to the paint
