Window wet/ trunk flooded

Help.
We’ve checked the plug in the trunk and the filter behind the glove box and i believe one other place that i can’t remember at the moment. The seals are an supposedly fine.

Problem. My windshield is soaked. Spare tire area is full of water. 2 different steroes have shorted out.
I’m extremely frustrated as this is going to ruin my car if we can’t figure it out.

What year vehicle is this?

Year, make, model?

Your windshield is soaked? Well, if it rains (or even if you go through a car wash) it should be soaked. Apparently you’re talking about soaked on the inside? You’ll have to be more descriptive.

The spare tire area being full of water is descriptive enough for that. It’s normally from bad trunk and/or tail light seals. You said “the seals are supposedly fine.” what seals? And according to whom?

Get in trunk. Have someone spray car with hose.

Or you could just put towels in the trunk below the ledgenwherenthe body meets the trunk, under the rear window, and at the tail lights.

The year of your civic would help. different years had different areas where leaks were coming from. If you have a spoiler, it could be leaking from where the bolts go through the trunk lid. the bolt seal crack or deteriorate and water comes in. also on some years the leak is where the rear glass meets the roof.

2007 honda civic. Sorry thought it was included

Yes the inside. And trunk where spare tire is.
We checked the plug and seals that we looked up to check. Supposedly accorfing to the glssd shop we took it to all the window seals are fine.

They would be completely soaked. There was standing water.

Its also the front window that is soakef and more recently the floor on the drivers side

Do you have a sunroof?

And 2007 honda civic.

No sunroof. 2007 honda civic

Not that it really important but just easier for people to keep up you do not need to reply to each post as all of your posts can be seen by everyone.

It sounds like you are going to need a body shop to look at this problem for a charge .

If floors are wet in driver and/or passenger area the usual cause is a blocked drain for the a/c system. Normally easy to fix with something like a zip tie to loosen the blockage. If you have moisture in front and in the rear there is more than one cause at work. Has the seal around the windshield been checked?

No, you clean the water out of the trunk and then test to find the leak. You should pull the carpet out and let it dry outside the trunk if it comes out easily. Run the test while the carpet is drying.
