My wife’s 03 suburban will just loose power and cut off. After 3-4 minutes it will crank up and go fine for 8-12 minutes and then just loose power again. It has only done this once before and both times have started with the cruise control on. Full tank of gas, oil pressure fine, temp fine, no chk engine light and will do it at variable speeds and if ac on or off.
When was the last time that your fuel filter was changed? These symptoms sound like either a fuel filter that is clogged with debris, or a fuel pump that is failing.
And, you might be interested to know that running an engine with a chronically clogged fuel filter is a very good way to shorten the life of your fuel pump. If you change the filter now, you may be able to save your fuel pump.
