Where Can I Find Technical Service Bulletins?

Hello, I have a 2001 VW Jetta VR6 that starting having a disturbing problem on my way home tonight. As I was driving down the dark rural highway between work and home, I dimmed my high beams for the on coming car and THE HEADLIGHTS WENT COMPLETELY DARK!! I was able to get them back by switching back to the high beams for a second then back to low beams. It happened four more times before I got to my driveway. By sitting in the car in my driveway I was able to recreate the problem and fix it by only jiggling the high/low beam switch. I need to get this fixed ASAP but want to know if there are any technical service bulletins on this problem before I get taken to the cleaners by the dealer. Anyone know of a good online resource for these? Thanks in advance.

Google is your friend.

You can look at eBahn: http://ebahn.bentleypublishers.com/index.htm?ticket=null but there doesn’t appear to be a service bulletin. You would likely need the service manual fault tracing information. Look around.

You can also try Alldata: http://www.alldatadiy.com/TSB/62/01624189.html

edmunds.com lists suggested maintenance and TSB’s after you input your car make, model, etc.:
