I need to install a Brake controller to operate the electric brakes on a new pop up trailer I am purchasing. I noticed there are 2 different types. 1 is called a “proportional brake controller” the other is called a “time based controller”.
Which one should be used ? the trailer only weighs 1400 lbs and will be used infrequently.
