Blades last years sometimes.
Blades can used for years but they do not last for years. IMOO a blade loses it effectiveness after 6 months. After that they chatter and skip which means replacement is needed.
Some do, some don’t.
Blades last years sometimes.
This is true for wiper blades and razor blades. I’ve had razor blades last for many shaves and some that are good for only two shaves. I have had wiper blades that have been good for a couple of years and some that are shot after two months.
The downside of winter wiper blades?
1. They look like crap
2. They cost more than regular blades
3. They are less aerodynamic and make air noise and drop your mpg
4. They don’t work as well as regular blades under most conditions
My suggestion is to use regular blades and if the snow gets that intense pull over and clear your windshield and the rest of the car. Then decide if this trip is really necessary at this exact moment. Drive safe and enjoy the ride! Rocketman
