Ford 2100 & 2150 carbs. The carb rebuild instructions make a point to not damage the fuel-bowl cover’s “enrichment tube”. But the parts diagrams show no such tube with that name on or in the fuel- bowl cover. I’ve always thought the enrichment tube is the tube that feeds fuel from the fuel bowl to the venturi, and those tubes on these carbs are part of the venturi booster ass’y, which is bolted to the main carb assy, & not part of the fuel bowl cover. Any ideas what part the instructions are referring to?
Possibly the feedback control assembly.
Does it really matter, just be careful, didn’t you have a question about a different part on the same carb a while back, it was slang and you didn’t get it?? It could also be a misprint, or even a translation goof… Not worth knowing…
??? … I must say, that’s certainly an unusual answer to a poster’s question!!
I’m thinking that part isn’t even on a 2100 or 2150 fuel bowl cover; possibly it is on a different Ford carb model. They probably started the rebuild instructions with general-purpose Ford carb boilerplate, and forget to edit that segment out.
I expect most diy’ers run into this same problem from time to time, where the repair instructions refer to a part that is no where to be found on the corresponding diagram.
