What has Torque to Yield Bolts really done for us?

I called there to the newer location in Washington Indiana, I talked to a guy probably a son or grandson and mistakenly asked about the Granada they used to have in the rotting showroom in shoals, I then corrected to say Lincoln. He had no idea what I was talking about and seemed to be annoyed and took a tone with me.

I told him to learn his history and told him he probably had no idea what a real Ford Maverick looked like.

Typical entitled kind.

Forget the Versailles! This is what you need! 429 hp, $15,500, LOTS of fun!

Is there any reason for you to be a jerk for no reason ?

What do you consider to be a tidy profit? They probably paid $15,000 for the car, did you offer $25,000.?

Nice introduction, always open with a complement.

What was the purpose of your phone call?

Nope, absolutely not. I was a jerk after he was a jerk. I simply matched his energy.

Treat me good and I’ll treat you better.

Treat me bad and I’ll treat you worse.

That car was photographed almost 20 years ago. A member hear asked if I knew what happened to it. I decided to try to find out.

I didn’t refer to the old dealership as rotting on the phone.

I called because if they still had the car, I’m a buyer for it.

You should gone there and done a big burnout with your Caprice’s rear tires. That would have shown him just how passionate you are on this topic!

Its a bit of a drive, otherwise I would have drove over and asked.

There, in a nutshell, lies the biggest problem of today’s society and politics.

Absolutely agree. I turned the cheek for many years, got me nowhere. No more. Its a race to the bottom and I’m not the bigger person anymore.

@Old-Days-Rick Did you choose your own post as the “solution” . . . ?

I don’t know much about the Ford Granada, and I haven’t seen one on the road in 20+ years. But looking at that picture of the car in a junkyard seems like such a waste. It may have even still ran, or maybe could have run again with not much effort. I can remember when the junkyards were full of Chrysler K-cars, Spirit/Acclaim, Shadow/Sundance, etc. Many of those cars needed only minor repairs, such as replacing the timing belt on the non-interference engine, replacing leaking seals/gaskets, brake repair, etc. but owners didn’t value these models, and junked them instead.

I did, albeit unintentionally. This forum is almost unusable for me at times due to the ads being in the way.

On the flip side a neighbor dropped a 350 into an S10, his rear axle became a yield to torque.

The Granada was not a Fox platform. It was based on the 60s Falcon. The Fox platform 1978 replaced the Granada and was all new.

@Nevada is correct. That first gen (1975-1980) Falcon-based Granada was followed by a second gen Fox based Granada, but only for a couple of years, 1981-1982.
