I see your point, I’d prefer to be able to check the engine oil level before starting the engine too, especially important after doing an oil & filter change. . You’d think it would be easier to read the oil sump level electronically with the engine off.

There was no dipstuck on our Audi… but there was dipstick tube! So I bought a dipstick for it. And the tube is still there to suck oil from.
A dipstick is easier that the procedure to read than the oil level sensor.
Dealers LOVE to add wheel locks to “the package”. They tried to charge my elderly dad $200 for “wheel locks” to prevent tire theft…like he needs that…crooks.
