I recently replaced the rear brake pads and now the antilock brakes don’t work. The brakes will work but they will also lock the wheels. Any suggestions?
Something with the ABS was disconnected and not replaced. Just a guess though.
How do you know the anti-lock is not working. Is there an error light? If so get the codes read. While VW has a special tool for reading the codes the codes for ABS should be readable by the standard reader and some auto parts stores will do that for free. Try Advanced Auto Parts or Autozone. Also tell us what year and how many miles on it and if you have had any recent brake work.
