VSC TRAC OFF Crazyness

I have a 2003 Sienna XLE with a idot light problem. After driving around 30 miles or so at HIGHWAY speeds, the VSC and TRAC OFF lights come on. NO ABS or CEL lights ever come on. If I shut off the engine, restart, I can go hundreds of miles without any issues.

After reading numerous messages on boards about this problem, there may very well be various causes of this issue. For me, at this point I’m looking at it possibly being a sensor in one of the wheels is triggering as it heats up when driving at highway speeds. Once it’s at temp, it does not trigger again. Imperical evidence is that it does NOT trigger again after restarting the car. Scenerio repeats next time I go on a trip, maybe weeks later.

I understand the TRAC OFF and VSC are part of the same “system”, which would explain their interdependency and co-“malfunction”. From what I can tell, when the lights are on, the system is NOT functioning, but for me, restarting the car resets the computer.

Since the issue is so intermittent, I am not about to spend thousands of dollars to try to fix it, untill a more definite solution is found. I will try the brake fluid fix, why not?

Any comments on my current VSC/TRAC OFF theory…
