I have a 1998 Volvo S70 Turbo in otherwise great condition that the mechanics say has had a failure of the plastic tabs that keep the dashboard secure against the frame. Apparently this is common?? The dealer wants $3000 to install a new dash. Volvo mechanic wants $1200 to repair the tabs, but I am worried if glued, they will easily fail again. Is there a cost effective, long term solution? The squeaking as it moves during driving is driving me crazy!
