I have a 2001 Volvo S660. About a month ago I noticed a gas leak at the rear of the car. I took it to my local mechanic and he said that I needed a new fuel pump. He replaced the pump. When I filled up the tank afterwards I noticed a strong smell of gas for several days inside and outside of the car. Two weeks ago I took the car to the local Volvo dealer for the 60,000 service. I told them about the pump. They completed the service and said everything looked fine. But, I still smell gas strongly everytime the tank is filled for several days. Is there some kind of leak up high which is only noticed when the tank is full? Don’t know much about cars, obviously! Any thoughts would be appreciated!
