I have a 960 volvo wagon 1995, I loved it until recently I will be driving and it just dies. The check engine light came on and I pull over & it starts right up. 3 mechanics have looked at it, nothing registers on the computer, so no one can figure out what to do. Any suggestions?
An aquaint had one of these (well, almost). it was an 850. It had been a long time problem child. Someone had even thrown some expensive part at it. It would sometimes just die while in motion, or, not start. I replaced the coolant temperature sensor. No problem since
Yours could be a different problem. Often, when an engine suddenly cuts off, it’s an ignition (spark producing) problem. Check in that area for weak coil, igniter, or the rpm signal to the computer.
