My check engine light is on. The code reader at advance auto says “P0442 Evap Emission Control System Leak (small)”.
This is a 2001 V70 with 103,000 miles.
My inspection is due this month so I need to fix it soon. Any suggestions?

Check the condition of all the vacuum hoses around the engine and going back to the gas tank and evap canister. Replace any that are loose or show signs of age, like cracks or rotting. Reset codes, then drive for 2-3 days before getting emissions done.
