Vibration

My 2003 4 cylinder Honda Accord with 1005,000 miles does the following intermittantly. As you are excelerating between 35 to 40 miles per hour you feel a vibration coming through from the font of the car. You feel it in the seat and your feet but not in the steering wheel. It does not happen all of the time. Sometimes a bump in the road going at the described speed range can cause the vibration.

The car is well maintained and just had a tune-up and new brake rotars and pads in put on the front. Anyone have any ideas what is causing the vibration which seems to be getting stronger?

If the wheels were mounted back on your vehicle WITHOUT the use of a torque wrench, it’s possible the rotor(s) MAY be warped causing the vibration.

A tire improperly balanced, could cause a vibration at speed.

Did you have the same problem before the work?

Yes, we had the problem before the Honda dealer performed the work. Actually, we have had the problem for 3 months. When we left the car at the dealership it did not make the visbration for them.
