i have a 1986 mercury capri non turbo with a 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine.its a manual transmission…the guy that owned this engine before me had alot of the vacum lines plugged off with bolts and i ahve no clue where they go…i need to know where the vacum line on the egr valve connects to and where the vacum line on my carbs choke connects to…if u need any more info please let me know.ive been at this for a week and its fustrating me more than ever cuz the car wont idle right.
You can explain why you bought this car to someone else.

By the way, there are two “u’s”,in vacuum.
Look under the hood for the emissions sticker. This should reflect the vacuum hose routing on the engine.

This is the same car mechanically as the 4-cyl Mustang of 1986. If you search on-line for some Mustang forums, you may be able to locate a factory service manual on-line that will help. I got lucky with my Supra, a friend’s 1991 Capri (australian built), and a 1996 Mazda MPV mini-van.
