Utv Shocks on 2005 Chevy Colorado?

I have a 2005 Chevy Colorado with blown front shocks. I have Walker Evans shocks for an Arctic Fox utv that are the same size as my current shocks. I’m wondering if I can use those temporarily for daily driving until I can afford replacement shocks.

Are utv shocks interchangeable with regular shocks if you have the proper springs ?

The simple answer is No.

Shocks are designed with the weight of the vehicle and the springs in mind. Other factors, like how much the shock moves with respect to the tire (Motion Ratio) play a big role as well. Small motion ratio means the shock moves more slowly than the tire AND needs to make more force. A UTV is a teeny little vehicle compared to a Colorado truck. Low weight, low force. You might MAKE them fit but they won’t work very well at all.

@Mustangman That’s what I figured. Thank you for clearing that up for me.
