While vacuuming my vehicle with the drivers seat as far forward as it will go I saw a dangling wire with pluggable end cap and can not figure out where it needs to be plugged in. Within hours the check engine light came on and now the electric seat heater no longer works. HELP
Get a good flashlight and a mirror and look for a place to plug the wire in. There is a chance the wire is just one of many not used on all cars. It could be for an option you don’t have. But if there is a place to plug it into, you will find it with a mirror and flashlight. This could be a coincidence that your electric seats quit working, and your check engine light is unrelated. The CEL won’t come on for any seat problems. It is for the engine and engine related problems.
