1998 mazda 626 - I had the transmition rebuilt at 120,000 miles. It now has 164,000 and the transmition is slipping. It goes through the 1st and 2nd gear, in 3rd - the motor races and the car doesn’t go forward. Help! Does that point to a single problem or does the transmition have to be rebuilt again?
If it hasn’t been done since the rebuild, it might be time to have the transmission fluid serviced.
My daughter’s 97 Celica’s transmission was starting to slip. She brought to where my son works, and he performed a complete transmission flush. Since then, the transmission has been shifting fine.
