Have a 2000 subaru outback. Needs a used manual transmission. How do I find out what years of Subarus used the same transmission as the 2000? Is this info available on line?

The place you’re going to buy it from will probably have a cross listing book that will them exactly what years will fit.
Go to WWW.car-parts.com it will tell you some of the diffrent years and models that will interchange with your Subaru. If you reduce the search to the state you live in then you will also find the closes transmission and cost to you.
