Will the transmission out of a 2000 Dodge Pickup go into my 2001 Dodge Pickup? Both motors are 5.9L and both trucks are 1500 Series.
If this was years ago, I would say “yes” because the diference is only 1 year and the motors and series are the same. In today’s world, who could say what the zany folks at automobile manufacturers do each model year. Before doing any heavy work, go to a good junkyard (assuming this is something you will be doing yourself) and ask them if they have sold trans as replacemets between 2000 ad 2001. If you are going to have a professional do the work, contact several transmission shops to get information on compatablity.
