Transfer case noise? But not from chain

Chasing clunk sound on my 08 equinox AWD. I think t-case. Nvg 900

The Equinox is known for transfer case problems

Common problems with the transfer case in a Chevy Equinox include unusual noises, failure to engage four-wheel drive, complete breakdowns, and the transfer case cracking, often requiring costly repairs or replacements.

I’m thinking t-case.

Excessive backlash, probably from bearing failure.. imo

Drain the fluid and see what chunks come out of it..

we will see.

@Cavell

Now that you’ve torn it down, I’ll only offer $25

Might be something.

That’s not a diff. It’s a transfer case out an Equinox. Like the title of your post asks.
