I have a 92 Toyota Paseo, 4 speed auto. Sometimes the trans jerks when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. It worries me cause it doesn’t do it all the time. Also when i’m going to a stop and the trans downshift it doesn’t jerk the gears, only when I accelerate. I had to admit 2 years ago i had and incident with some dude wheeling with his motorcycle in front of my car and he fell and the moto went right to me and i passed over it, and bend my trans crank top underneath. I bought a new one with a filter cause the filter aslo bend and it got “fixed”. I told my problem and incident to my mechanic it might be the 1st to 2nd selenoid. But just asking here to some opinions.
You had a thread in September about transmission shifting problems . If that is still doing the same thing plus this these new symptoms then you need an independent transmission shop .
That one it got resolver, it was the cables of temp sensor that were burnt.
