My mothers 2000 Tundra 4x4 extracab with 100k was deemed unsafe by Toyota due to severe frame rust back in August. They handed her keys to a new rental Camry which she drove until last week. They did a full frame replacement on the vehicle.
She did do some additional work of brand new exhaust, shocks, timing belt/water pump for $1300(parts mainly) while in the shop.
I drove it and everything works perfectly. There are all brand new bolts in areas. She had 7 trucks ahead of her so the tech figured it out.
Good news is welcome here. We hear so many complaints.

I like brand new bolts too. I saw the frames stacked up and was impressed with the amount of rust that wasn’t on some of the old ones. Guess it doesn’t take much.
