2009 Corolla LE
With Techstream I am getting the error below:
Unable to connect to the VIM

I also borrowed a friend’s and the same happened.

I took it to a shop to program the new key - he didn’t use Techstream. Used something like xhaust and another device and programmed the after market new key.

Two different Techstream install on a Windows pc gave the same error - On mine, I played with the setup but no luck.
Thoughts?

Make sure car battery is fully charged.

You’re trying to work with what are basically hacked versions of Techstream. The “well” of knowledge here is likely somewhat shallow. You’d be better off checking out a dedicated Prius board (or other Toyota board). Maybe check out PriusChat
