It’s a Versa. You aren’t going to be doing any land speed records in it, and unless you’re running a shuttle service for NAAFA, you’re not likely to be putting much weight on those tires.
Just about any tire will be fine for your car.

All tires sold for over the road use must meet stringent D.O.T. safety and marking requirements. “Seconds” are tires with cosmetic defects. They too must meet the same D.O.T. requirements. Major chains do not sell “seconds”, but for those warehouse chanins that do, the tires are as safe as any other of their rating.
That does not mean that large chains like WalMart sell the same models as a tire chain might. The devil will be in the details. The load rating, the wear rating, the speed raing, the traction rating, the cosnstruction codes, etc. These are the things to watch.
Recognize too that a tire only has to meet your needs. A “Z” speed rating means the tire will survive a faster sustained speed (over 150 mph), but if you’re driving a Versa is it worth the extra money?
Amen. When safety, freedom from worry and mileage are all taken into account, a high quality tire, at the least, is no more expensive than a tire you get when “lowest price” is your first priority.
Has anyone noticed how old this thread is? I hope the OP has already bought the tires.
