We had a 60 falcon and it over heated and ruined the engine. I thought they said that was the weak point. Got a 62 after that and had quite a bit more power. Six cyl still and pretty dead but served it’s purpose. When I wrecked my VW I got to drive it 200 miles back to school. More power than the bug anyway.
Depends on the usage. 200,000 miles of city driving or 500,000 miles of highway.
After 20 years; wear and needed repairs on the suspension, electrical/wiring, A/C etc. can make the continued use of a 200,000-mile vehicle impractical. After 20 years, I feel that I got my money’s worth out of a timing chain.
