Just purchased a 2009 AWD Toyota Sienna, and there is a loud (loud to me anyways) thumping noise coming from the front end any time I go over the slightest crack in the road when traveling under 30 mph. Toyota dealership garage says this noise is coming from the shocks and is completely normal. I’m finding it hard to believe that this sound is normal on a brand new vehicle. Any thoughts?
Test drive another and see if it does the same thing. You may have to be a little insistent to get it fixed, it is probably minor but worth getting fixed under warranty.
In addition to Waterboy’s suggestion, which I agree with, check your tire pressure. New vehicles come off the truck with the pressure elevated and it may not have been adjusted during prep.
