I hear a thud/thump type noise near right rear wheel area when going over bumps/potholes. No one can find the cause.
Year and mileage?
Perhaps the most common causes are dried/shrunken/worn bushings and worn out struts/strut mounts.
Shocks can make noises internally, but those are generally a sharp clunk.
Also, don’t overlook the cavities below your trunk. Anything moving around in the spare tire area or other cavities?
2001 windstar. Just had struts & towers replaced. Noise is still there
