My check engine light came on and the diagnosis was Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Range/Performance Problem. Serviceman said could clean for $175 which may or may not work or replace for $835 or he could just turn the light off and I can wait and see what happens. What to do?
If the throttle position sensor is bad, it should be replaced. If $835 sounds expensive, shop around, maybe you can find a lower price.
You can buy these for around $16-60 and rplace them yourself!! Do some Googling and you see how…etc. PS: I just replaced my IAC-Idle Air Control sensor on my 04’ Ford Tarus for $51…Service center want $250-300. Trust me there is enough onfo on the Internet now days to say you thousands of bucks!!
