Throttle body replaced, replace pedal sensor?

So the other day I tried to start my car and it gave an error message saying "starting disabled, service throttle. So I ended up just replacing the entire throttle body. Some people said that the problem they experienced was the pedal sensor malfunctioning, which is apparently common in this car. So should I just replace the pedal sensor now, or wait to see if there’s further issues?

You don’t waste money on new parts unless you find out you wasted money on a new part.

That’s the shotgun approach.
