In Australia, they say surfers originally made them popular as the sheepskin lining was comfy / nice and warm when they came out of the water (and presumably, if an ugg boots gets wet on an Australian beach, it’ll dry out in no time). Exported to the British high-street and selling for upwards of ?80 for a pair of the original article, I think you’d be a bit heart-broken if your super-expensive fashion boots got all soaked with slush / mud, wouldn’t you…



I can certainly appreciate the comfort angle of the Uggs brand now though, for now I am the proud owner of pair of sheepskin-lined suede Ugg flip-flops - which might well sound like / be the most stupid thing ever
