Would any of you good mechanics know if a 2006 honda CRV has the newer fail-safe type of thermostat or is it still the old type that I have changed many of in my younger days ? Also any idea what the fail safe type cost. Thanks in advance for your replies.
I looked up your OEM thermostat for your vehicle. Looks like it’s the new “fail safe” type.
I see a lot of complaints about the fail safe thermostat on the net.
I would look into getting a conventional thermostat from Honda.
Thermostat failure is not a concern if you change it every 5-6 years.
