The new Corvette engine

… will use AFM, rather than DFM, which sounds like a good design decision.

I don’t follow automotive news like I use to. My question, when did Chevrolet bring back the Stingray name?

I used Mr. Google to answer that question. 2014 was when the Corvette Stingray name was brought back after last used in 1976.

How about GM using the famed LS6 name for the 3rd time…

IIRC:
1970 454ci 7.4L LS6…

2001-2005 Z06 350ci 5.7L LS6…

And the new 2027 409ci 6.7L LS6…

Gm may think afm results in fewer engine issues vs dfm. Might be true. I think gm wants trouble free motors. Might be true. Is gm striving for better fuel economy? Maybe. They seem to have reliability issues on truck motors.
