Hi all, my first time on the forum but been listening to the show since I was a kid.
We were in the market for a new 4runner, and this recall thing comes up. Will the entire Toyota fleet go on a fire sale, aka should I wait a few weeks to buy? Thanks, yes I know the 4runner isn’t on the hitlist but dealers need to move cars.
Maybe…if they are stopping production, the cars won’t be available overall, and sales will have to be made up on other available models like the 4Runner. That said, I sure would bring my concerns up at every possible time in the negotiation, let them know you’re going to walk. It’s a great tool, use it. If enough people do, prices will be dropping.
