So…If you choose to have your TDI repaired so it will comply with federal emissions standards, to what degree will performance be diminished? Has anyone (magazine or whatever) tested two identical TDI’s, one still running the “cheat” software and one that has been “fixed” so it meets emissions standards??
No fix is yet available, so nobody knows. One has been announced, but it’s not yet at the dealers, I think.
I was reading in a news article that so far, about 85% of the TDI owners / lessees have opted for the cash buy back…This high percentage has surprised VW corp and they will have to set aside more money to cover it…
Good! I’m glad they are taking a bath on this. VW deserves it.
