Tacoma engine stopping when RPMs go low

Was on honeymoon for a while did not drive my 2001 Toyota Tacoma for a month and a half. Drove it today and filled up the gas tank. On way home it just turned off when idling at a stop light waiting. The clutch was in and it took several tries to start it. Then it also just totally turned off when the RPMs were low going around a 90 corner on a county road- had to pull over and start it. Not sure if maybe the battery just needs charging or maybe bad gasoline? Its running outside now just to get it going in the driveway. Long story short just wondering whether people think I might have filled it up with bad gasoline? Or any other ideas? Thanks!
