Tabs or cats

Cousin was going turkey hunting on the reservation in South Dakota. Needed a license issued by the Reservation plus had to hire a guide from the Rez too. Federal license nice idea but lots of issues with state and native lands. Although navigable waters are federal so maybe a federal license just for those.

Are you talking the ice cream store? Butter Bricle ice cream was my fav. I think we drove there every friday night in Duluth.

Yeah they had one in Dinkytown. Ice cream, malts, hamburgers, etc. before they went under.

@cdaquila The biggest tires I’ve ever seen in person were the ones that went on oil exploration vibrator/thumper trucks. Those things were HUGE.

These are pretty big. Don’t know if they are the biggest though.

May be similar to what Evil Knievel did a wheelie in while working the mine in Butte Montana, I work with someone who knew Evil back in Butte and at least from local legend it happened.

To check to see if it’s brake (oops I had a Spelling Mistake, lol. Love the comments ) fluid, put something under it that is painted, if it’s brake fluid it will strip it clean.

Fifty two years ago, I got my new license plates on New Year’s day. Here in Indiana at that time, the license bureaus were run by the political party of the governor. A certain fixed amount of each license plate sold went to the political party of the governor. In 1968, the Democrats lost the governor’s race, and a Republican governor was elected. However, the new governor didn’t take office until January 2nd. Thus, the Democrats had the license bureau open on New Year’s day. At that time, we all had to go to the license bureau to renew our registration and the new license plates had to be on the car by March 1st. There was no line that New Year’s day, so I took advantage of the fact and we renewed our registration.
The system had since changed and we maybe renew our registration by email. The date the old registration expires is staggered throughout the year depending on the month of the year the person was born.
In recent years, I have found the staff of my local license bureau very professional and helpful. I have had no problems registering a new vehicle, transferring plates or renewing my driver’s license. In fact, one of the employees helped me through a rather messy problem. Our church sponsors a scout troop and the two trailers the scouts use had to be registered to the church instead of the scout troop. The title to one of the trailers had been lost and the other was a home made trailer with no serial number. The employee called the state office and worked through the entire transfer of ownership of both trailers.

I don’t know about other states but I’m pretty sure California does not recognize Covid as an excuse not to renew your vehicle registration. I recently did mine, like I always do, online via the DMV’s secure website. Also, it may depend upon location, but AAA offers DMV services in a number of their brick and mortar locations. In fact, some years ago I bought a new pickup and the dealer put the wrong city on the paperwork, which I didn’t notice at the time, so I never received my license plates and registration stickers. I went to AAA, they made a phone call and determined that the plates that had been issued by DMV had been cancelled, so they issued me plates and stickers right then and there.

I also avoid dmv like the plague, if at all possible

The auto club is much more pleasant to deal with, in my opinion, considering they can do many things that would normally require a trip to the dmv

Those things will kill you!
Plus, “safety meeting”? I hope it’s a stand up meeting. Sitting is the “new smoking.” :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

In Ontario Canada, in the 60s and 70s we had decals for the deiver side windshield. That changed in the late 70s to stickers on the top right side of the license plate.

My undertanding is that AAA mainly does that in California only, at least it’s not offered here in WA

We have an affiliated DMV agent on staff to handle new and used car registrations. Registration renewal is so easy that no one should need assistants, it is no more difficult than ordering pencils from Amazon.

This how they do it in Pennsylvania where I live.

Registration Stickers (pa.gov)

I couldn’t remember what year we got rid of those dumb stickers…I wasn’t upset to see them go!
