My 2008 Honda Civic 1.8L LX surges forward when driving down circular parking garage ramp with foot on brake; otherwise, the only problem is occasional hesitation. Any advice as to the cause?
Is this happening in the morning when it’s cold and the RPMs are on “high idle”?
I have a 2010 honda civic and i believe what you are feeling is the trans shifting on my car the trans will shift strangely going down hill to keep you from having to ride the break so much but have a mech. drive and see what they tell you
Most vehicles will do this. It’s more noticeable with small engine vehicles especially if they are manual shift models. Automatics will do this to some degree as well.
