I and others have noticed some very old threads still getting posts. Allow me to suggest that the original post show up with the date posted. Hoepfully that will preclude wasted effort and allow old threads where answers are no longer meaningful to drift into history.
I think it sometimes happens when someone does a google search for their problem and a CarTalk post comes up so they just post their problem in the old post.
I have caught myself posting in 6mth old threads that someone revived in this way. Some have merit and deserve to be revived but most should have a new thread started.
I completely agree that all posts should be dated.
