Stopped accelerating while driving now wont turn over or crank

I was driving on the highway and all of a sudden my van stopped accelerating. I still had power and no lights came on. I pulled over and tried to restart but the key when turned wont do anything. No cranking or turnover. Ive checked all the fuses and relays. Ive checked the air intake and the throttle body. No bad sensors. Etc light is off. Im currently getting ready to change the fuel filter i just cant find its location. The fuel pump works. If its not the fuel filter i have absoletely no idea what it could be. Any help or advice or does anybody know the location of the fuel pump? Regardless if its the problem or not, i still. Need to change it

Does this mystery Dodge have a year and model?

It is important to list the year and model of your vehicle for others to properly be able to assist you, OP.

I would also encourage you to list your mileage as well.

A dead battery could do that.

Follow Testor’s advice.
A fuel filter will not prevent an engine from cranking. The filter might resulting a crank, no start condition, but not a no crank.
So leave the filter for later.

Edit: texases makes a good point about the battery, but I don’t think that would have caused a shut down without a warning light.

Its not the battery

Have you checked the voltage at your starter?

No i have not. I will do that here in a minute

the below link is about replacing a gasket for the fuel pump, but it has some pictures and info that might help you.

Work Instruction

Th fuel pump is located in the gas tank. It will not cause a no crank situation. You should be looking at the battery, battery connections and grounds , starter or ignition switch or wiring between these components.

Never a good idea to tell a shop to replace something based on theories. Why not pay shop to figure out what’s wrong?

I think the OP is doing the work himself.

And how do you know this?
